2 YOUTHS, 1 ILLEGAL ISRAELI SETTLER KILLED IN ILLEGAL ISRAELI COLONY ON OCCUPIED WEST BANK

Yesterday January 25 two youths were shot and left to bleed to death at illegal Israeli colony of Beit Horon, also known as Beit Ahoron. The shooter was illegal Israeli settler working as "security guard".

Israeli occupation claimed that the killed youths had made "a stabbing attack" and in this, unlike in many other incidents, the evidence shows this to be the case - and a direct result of Israeli occupation activities, as we will show at the end of our article.

The killed youths were Ibrahim Osama Yousif Allan, aged 22 or 23, from village of Beit Ur at-Tahta and Hussein Muhammad Abu Ghush, aged 16 or 17, from the Qalandia refugee camp. After their deaths the minimum number for Palestinian casualties since the beginning of the uprising is 167, with Abu Ghush being the 34th minor killed in the uprising.

Israeli occupation at first claimed that they stabbed one illegal Israeli settler woman inside a supermarket at the illegal colony, injuring her "moderately" and another outside, injuring her "lightly". Later it was announced that one of the stabbed illegal Israeli settlers had suffered "critical injuries" and died on Tuesday. She was identified as Shlomit Krigman(24).

No bladed instruments can be seen near Abu Ghoush and Allan in the photos showing them laying on the ground and even occupation narratives indicate that they were trying to escape from the illegal colony when they were shot. Although the stabbings have to be considered as an established fact, it also seems that the youths offered no immediate damage to the illegal Israeli settlers at the site when shot.

Israeli occupation claims that two or three pipe bombs, supposedly placed by the killed youths, would have been found and defused in the vicinity of the killing.

If true, with the similar claim made about the death of Muhammed Nabil Halabiyaa(17) in occupied E. Jerusalem's Abu Dis on Saturday, this would be a new development and show a slight movement towards more established guerilla tactics from the part of the angry youth driving the uprising against the occupation.

Israel's occupation villages closed the entrances to Allan's home village of Beit Ur at-Tahta, near the city of Ramallah, as a collective punishment and continue to do so at the time of writing of this.

Abu Ghoush's social media posts in the days before his death imply that the motivation on his part for this act was both the conflict over al-Aqsa mosque - which symbolizes control over whole of occupied East Jerusalem - and the recent deaths of people at Israel's occupation forces' hands, especially that of person he called Laith, who, we assume, is Laith Ashraf Manasra(25), who was killed in Qalandia refugee camp on November 16th.

Just before his death Abu Ghoush sent a final message: “Laith is gone…life in this world has become worthless."

THE KILLING OF RAKIA ABU EID BY ILLEGAL ISRAELI SETTLER [FACEBOOK REMOVED OUR FIRST POST ABOUT HER FATE]

Our Saturday's post of the killing of Ruqayya Eid Abu Eid al-Yattawi (whose name has been also written as Rakia Abu Eid) has been removed by Facebook in an apparent act of censorship.

Censorship and intimidation doesn't hold us back. Although there were no backups for the now removed post, we offer you are a totally rewritten one:

THE EVENTS

On the morning of Saturday January 23rd Rakia, aged 13 or 14, had left her home in Anata village north-east of occupied East Jerusalem after an argument with her family.

By the time her father, who had left searching for her, found her outside Israel's illegal Anatot colony, she was laying on the ground bleeding, shot several times by an illegal Israeli settler acting as a "security guard" for the illegal colony.

Her father was not allowed to reach her dying daughter, who seems to have been left without medical aid, and was instead arrested by the Israeli occupation.

Rakia's killer claimed that she had tried to stab him. He was not injured.

There is a blurry image taken from a video feed claimed to be from the site that shows a person in female clothes' with what appears to be a knife-like object in hand.

We assume that the person in question is Rakia. The fact that there was a "stabbing attempt" by her seems very likely, but all things from the site don't add up.

OPEN QUESTIONS

Behind the person is a gate which we see also in the photographs from the site where Rakia was killed. In the image the person is very close to the gate, running beside it. Rakia's body ended up well away from the gate, her feet pointing towards the gate and the claimed knife several meters from her.

Clearly something what is missing from her killer's version of events happened between the moment of which we have the blurry image of Rakia running and then her collapsing to the ground.

There could not have been a simple chronology of events where she would have attacked the illegal Israeli settler and the adult male shooting her immediately several times in "self-defense".

The position of the knife and her body might even indicate that she had dropped the knife and was backing away when she was shot. There is no blood that can be on the ground that would indicate that she somehow made it wounded to the point where she fell to the ground.

Rakia's body was handed over later on Saturday by Israeli occupation and she was buried on Sunday. Hundreds of people escorted her in her last voyage, even when the weather was bad and it snowed.

TEENAGER KILLED IN DISPUTED CIRCUMSTANCES IN OCCUPIED EAST JERUSALEM'S ABU DIS

Last night in occupied East Jerusalem's Abu Dis Mohammad Nabil Halabiyya, his age given in different circumstances between 16-18, died near Israeli occupation military outpost in disputed circumstances. Israel's occupation forces stopped Palestinian medics from reaching him.

MOLOTOV COCKTAIL?

Israeli occupation has put out an odd claim that the teenager would have "tried to plant a Molotov cocktail" and that the bottle used in it would have "exploded prematurely", which would have "severely mutilated him due to the blast".

As you can see, the description above doesn't sound at all like a Molotov cocktail. We assume Mohammed Halabiyya might have somehow suffered wounds from pieces of glass, but on a photograph showing him after his death his face, only part of his body clearly seen in photographs, shows no damage.

If a Molotov cocktail bottle would have been broken as Halabiyaa held it in his hands, we would assume that his face would have suffered burn injuries. Even if it would have been concealed by a piece of cloth etc.

But there is no evidence of a fire in the blurry photograph showing his body on the scene. So the the claim of a Molotov cocktail, we believe, can be closed out.

HOMEMADE BOMB?

Another Israeli occupation claim that sounds more likely, but perhaps partly because its vagueness leaves so much room for interpretation, is that the teenager would have had a "bomb hidden inside his clothes", apparently without suicide bombing being meant. One Palestinian news source mentions "homemade bomb", apparently based on Israeli occupation sources.

The use of a bomb - of whatever kind - would represent a new development in the uprising in on the part of East Jerusalem and West Bank.

The only photograph showing his body on the scene of his death is already blurry and his likely wounds have been further blurred by the media agency which published it. The blurred parts seem to indicate injuries to both hands, abdomen and left thigh.

There's no indication that there would have been explosion from inside his clothes based on what we can see, as bad as the photograph is. If something exploded, it would have exploded while held in hands, at waist level.

SHOT?

One Palestinian claim repeated in several news sources is that Mohammed Halabiyya would have been shot by Israel's occupation soldiers. Without seeing his wounds, its impossible to choose between the competing claims.

The only photograph showing his body on the scene of his death is already blurry and his likely wounds have been further blurred by the media agency which published it. The blurred parts seem to indicate injuries to both hands, abdomen and left thigh.

ISRAELI GRENADE?

One explanation, which hasn't been brought up anywhere else, is the explosion of a military grenade beside him. It could fit his apparent wounds, but is a remote possibility.

CONCLUSION

Its possible that he might have had a Molotov cocktail - but we can assume that one which didn't start a fire next to him - or a "bomb", and was shot while holding one, but he might also be a victim of just another killing excused with a fabricated story.

The idea that a Halabiyya would have made a simple homemade bomb on his own is, of course, not that far-fetched. The cruelty of the daily oppression can make people of all ages seek ways to counter the occupation violence. The existence of the internet brings all sorts of, more and less "trustworthy" material available to wide audiences, as governments have complained for the last two decades.

What we do know for certainty is that Mohammed Nabil Halabiyya, no matter the exact circumstances of his death, is another victim of the brutal Israeli occupation, his entire short life being lived under it, without him ever being free in his own land and in his own home city.
