ISRAEL RELEASES HEBRON KILLER FOR A RELIGIOUS HOLIDAY

The Israeli occupation soldier Elor Azaria(19), who shot wounded, unarmed and immobile Abdel-Fattah al-Sharif(21) in West Bank's occupied Hebron on March 24 has been released from a military base he was held.

This is officially for him to allow to spend part of the Jewish Passover with his family in the town of Ramla in 1948 Palestine. Unofficially its a clear message from Israel's government to the state's far-right; even in a clear-cut case that impacts Israel's image negatively the state is now incapable to truly challenge the far-right which it has cultivated in connection to the occupation.

In Ramla, ethnically cleansed in 1948 so that 80 % of its population is now Jewish, he was celebrated by significant number of local inhabitants and far-right Israeli extremists from elsewhere when he arrived.

The Jewish Passover will last seven to eight days in different branches of Judaism, but Azaria has been ordered to return to on Sunday.

Elor Azaria's father Charlie said after the release of his son: “Thanks for the support. Thanks to the judges who allowed him to have the holiday at home. With God’s help this whole thing will end and we’ll go back to being a normal family."

Something which the family of his son's victim will never be able to do.
