ISRAELI OCCUPATION DESTROYS A FAMILY HOME AS A COLLECTIVE PUNISHMENT IN BEIT AMRA

Israel's occupation forces destroyed the family home of Mourad Badir Adais(16) in the village of Amra in the municipality of Yatta on yesterday, Saturday June 11th. Ten people were left homeless.

Israeli occupation accuses Mourad Adais of having killed an illegal Israeli settler inside the illegal colony of Otniel on January 17. Adais, then 15, was arrested two days later by the Israeli occupation. His family says he has no connection to the illegal settler's death.

Collective punishment is illegal in international law and a war crime, but thanks to protection by the so-called 'West', Israel can carry out collective punishment without fear of its officials and military facing legal consequences.

As racism is basis of all Israeli law, collective punishment targets only occupied Palestinians living under international law. In this case Israeli occupation itself admitted that the parents had no foreknowledge of their child's supposed crime, yet it made no difference, because "they had closed their eyes".

The arrogance is astounding. It's the international community which is closing its eyes to Israel's Apartheid policies and brutal occupation, as Israel as a society and a state is closing its eyes not only to international law, but to basic human decency.

On Saturday Israel's occupation forces also raided several homes and a medical building in the village and briefly detained Moataz Jamal Abu Arram(15) before releasing him.
