TRYING TO INCITE MORE VIOLENCE, ISRAEL CONTINUES TO ATTACK BESIEGED GAZA

Following Tuesday's Israeli occupation air-strike on empty agricultural field in Juhr Adik village in central Gaza Strip, Israeli occupation on Wednesday at dawn fired at homes and agricultural fields in central Gaza and sent four bulldozers to destroy agricultural land in besieged Gaza.

The incursion happened east of Rafah, in southernmost part of the tiny coastal enclave. The bulldozers advanced an estimated 70 meters into Gaza.

At approximately the same time, Israeli navy hijacked according to different sources either two or four fishing boats off Gaza's coast, taking the boats to the ethnically cleansed coastal town of Ashdod and detaining ten fishermen in the boats.

The detained fishermen are Fahd Ziyab Bakr, Eid Muhsin Bakr, Rami Izzat Bakr, Ziyab Fahd Bakr,, Bayan Khamis Bakr, Fadi Hashim Dabo, Ahmad Abd al-Rahman Zaqut, Zayid Zaki Taroush, Ismail Zaki Taroush and Abdullah Zaki Taroush. Eight of them were later released, but Rami Izzat Bakr and Ziyab Fahd Bakr are still held as captives.

Israeli occupation has arbitrarily claimed changes to the fishing zone of besieged Gaza Strip since the Oslo Accords set it at 20 nautical miles. Recently it has fluctuated between 3-9 nautical miles based on the whim of the Israeli occupation. Even boats keeping inside the official occupation limits are often shot st or hijacked.

The constant attacks on besieged Gaza Strip are clear attempt from part of Israel to incite more counter-attacks, which it could use as an excuse for a new conflict, which it has been sought almost from the end of its last major attack against Gaza in 2014.

New conflict would serve several foreign policy goals of Israel's regime: End the French peace plan initiative, unite the so-called 'West' again in declarations of support behind it until the death toll would start to be noticed, and help to ease through in the United States the increase in military aid in the quantity which Israel's regime wants.
