TWO YOUNG MEN KILLED IN OCCUPIED EAST JERUSALEM [Non-Graphic]
Late on last evening Israel's occupation forces in East Jerusalem shot and killed Omar Mohammad Amro and Mansour Yasser Shawamra near the Damascus Gate.
Israel's occupation forces claim that the two young men would have approached Israel's occupation forces' paramilitary Border Guards, opened fire at them with - depending on sources - automatic rifles or homemade 'Carl Gustav' rifles and (like the two 15 y/o boys killed earlier yesterday based on a similar claim in the West Bank) utterly missed injuring the Israeli occupation forces' members, who would have shot back and killed them both.
Omar Amro was a member of Palestinian security forces, so at least he knew how to handle guns and the weapons whose photos Israeli occupation' spreads claiming that they were used by Amro and Shawamra are a very old sub-machine gun and a more modern automatic rifle.
Although we do not outright claim that there was no attempted attack, we are somewhat suspicious of the claim that Israeli occupation forces' would have been able to escape supposed attack from apparently close range with automatic weapons and then kill the two young men without suffering any injuries themselves.
In photos from the scene the weapons are not seen near the bodies. Israeli occupation claimed the young men were carrying a bag that had explosives and a knife. No such bag is seen near the men in any of the photos. They also wear relatively light clothing.
On the Palestinian side the Israeli occupation claim of an attempted attack has been largely accepted and embraced as an attack against the occupation. It might have been that, but sometimes caution is in order. Photos of a member of security forces with weapons is not evidence or indicative of any armed attack plan.
