The country of Western Sahara, a former colony of Spain, has been occupied by its northern neighbour Morocco since 1976 with the support of the European Union and among its member states, especially France, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States among other opponents of international law and freedom and liberty.
