IPNOT PICTURE OF THE DAY For May 15: BETHLEHEM'S 'RETURN TRAIN'
Today, Sunday May 15 a "Return train" build by local activists traveled from Dheisheh Refugee Camp south to Bethlehem to a checkpoint at Israel's illegal Wall. At least hundreds of people followed the train.
The train's passenger four cars carried both names of ethnically cleansed towns & villages and refugee camps where their inhabitants ended up, while an activist standing on the 'locomotive' (an automobile) shouted names of the same places like a conductor.
Having been attacked at the checkpoint with tear gas and refused (as expected) crossing, the train ended as intended it's voyage at Aida refugee camp's monument to the right of return.
Because there are two photographs of the same moment in the trains' travel that most impressed us and they are basically identical, we post both pictures - which were taken by Hazem Bader and Oren Ziv - to make justice for both photographers.
