IPNOT PICTURE OF THE DAY September 9th: Hunger-striker Malik al-Qadi falling into coma
Hunger-striker Malik al-Qadi(21) has been claimed to have fallen into coma on the 55rd day of his hunger-strike. According to some sources, he's still slipping in and out of consciousness. His lawyer says he is not allowed to visit his client in the hospital.
He is protesting against his current imprisonment without charge by the Israeli occupation, which is a second time he has been detained without charge during the last nine months by Israel.
Malik al-Qadi declared hunger-strike on July 16th having been imprisoned this time from May 23rd only 47 days after his previous administrative detention sentence ended.
Israel's Supreme Court ordered the suspension of his administrative detention, as with the Balboul brothers and only as long as their health improves but like the Balboul brothers this has been rejected - in case of al-Qadi, apparently he had given orders on this before falling in coma.
These include an order of no treatment in case of him falling in to a coma, but Israeli occupation has over-ruled it.
His mother has plead president Abbas to save her son and asked a leading Palestinian member of Knesset, Ahmed Tibi, to visit him in the hospital.
