D.H. Lawrence(1885-1930) was "just a big baby".

And a class traitor. He was a raging elitist who hated people of lowly background because he himself was a miner´s son - whose relatively well-educated mother had taught him to feel himself superior compared to other people of their stature, even his own father - who had succeeded in the world, but who couldn´t of course forgot where he came from and hated the ordinary people because of it. After all, Great Britain then had even more rigid class system than it has now and a miner´s son who became a succesful author and married a German aristocrat was still a miner´s son. And so Lawrence was full of hate towards working class people who wanted the same thing that he himself had succeeded in achieving; a better life. He claimed that their attempts to achieve
better living circumstances and equal rights were wrong and that they should just have accepted their lot in life and leave the better life to the elite, who deserved it.

As you can see, D.H. Lawrence was a bastard.
