MURDER IN HEBRON CAUGHT ON VIDEO

Just like the so-called 'Western' media has had a habit of presenting each Israeli violation of the Gaza truces it reports as the first time, so the same media tends to portray each case of evidence for the execution of wounded Palestinians by Israel as the first while trying to imply that there isn't more evidence.

That is the case with the Thursday's killing of two youths in Tel Rumeida in occupied West Bank's Hebron.

SHOTS IN TEL RUMEIDA

Tel Rumeida is one of the 'hotspots' of Hebron from which Israel is trying to drive Palestinians away and it saw a 'spike' of killings by Israeli occupation in the early part of the current uprising. Today illegal Israeli settlers' were preparing for their 'Purim' celebrations - more political than religious in the occupation context - when the incident began.

Abdel-Fattah al-Sharif and Ramzi al-Qasrawi were shot after allegedly 'stabbing' an Israeli occupation soldier - who supposedly received 'light' to 'moderate injuries' to 'arm and shoulder' according to the Israeli occupation authorities.

Both youths, aged 20 or 21 in different sources, were left to bleed on the ground while the occupation soldier was being given medical aid first by other occupation soldiers and then by an illegally operating Israeli ambulance crew. Palestinians were not allowed to approach either youth.

Claim that several other Palestinians beyond al-Sharif and al-Qasrawi were wounded in Israel's occupation forces' 'random' gunfire are unconfirmed.

LACK OF EVIDENCE FOR 'STABBING'

In the photographs we have seen - which point towards Ramzi al-Qasrawi being dragged on the ground and turned from his stomach to his back at some point - no knives or bladed instruments can be seen near the two Palestinians.

There is dried blood on the upper torso of the supposedly injured Israeli occupation soldier, but no apparent injuries can be seen. Which opens a question whether the blood even is his own?

Israeli media has shown a knife laying on ground - its blade bloodless and the knife appears to be neatly positioned on ground beside a military camouflage bag. Nothing even directly indicates the photo is from the scene.

'Western' media reporting on this case in almost unison describes the victims still 'Palestinian attackers' even when actual evidence of 'a stabbing' is lacking. Critical approach towards Israeli occupation's claims are clearly beyond them for political reasons.

THE MURDER

As Abdel-Fattah al-Sharif was still clearly alive by slightly moving his head after being shot. This was noted by sn unidentified voice saying “This terrorist is still alive, this dog” - and some 118 seconds in to the video that brought the murder to a wider audience an Israeli occupation soldier went and shot him in head from a point blank range.

At least two dozen other occupation soldiers and armed illegal Israeli settlers - which were acting in unison with occupation soldiers at the scene, uniforms the only way to separate them - did nothing to stop the soldier and did not anyway react to the murder just committed before their eyes.

The murder was recorded on video by a B'Tselem worker Emad abu-Shamsiyah and having been caught clearly in the act of murder, Israel's occupation forces' has suspended the soldier and started an investigation - which we can expect to be done for PR purposes and being a whitewash to the extent PR goals allow - while reactions in the Israeli social media have been overwhelmingly positive - towards the act murder and the murderer behind it.

NO ISOLATED INCIDENT

Israeli occupation tries to present this as an abnormal, isolated incident, although previous evidence of similar killings exists; from the last few months alone we can mention for example Fadi Alloun(19) in East Jerusalem and Mahdi Mohtaseb(23) in Hebron.

Mohtaseb's case is almost exactly the same as al-Sharif's, as he was shot in execution style after already having being wounded on October 29.

We can also mention the deliberate leaving of wounded Palestinians to die, which has not only happened with most killings of Palestinians by Israel's occupation forces during this uprising, but was common already before it.

Unlike Israel's occupation forces claim, this killing was not 'against IDF values' but represents them with brutal clarity.
