Any truthful history is also objective history. Bad history is written by people who can´t shed their political, ideological, religious and etc views. A good historian is not "in love" with her or his subject. There must be a certain remotessness, which makes it possible for the historian to see things more clearly than the people whose lives and actions she or he studies. If the historian lacks this detachment from her or his subject, she or he ends writing fiction instead of fact.
