ISRAEL ADMITS KILLING OF MUSTAFA NIMER ON MONDAY WAS 'A MISTAKE'

ISRAEL ADMITS KILLING OF MUSTAFA NIMER ON MONDAY WAS 'A MISTAKE'

Israeli occupation has admitted that it killed a young man in "mistake" early on Monday in Shuafat refugee camp as he was returning home with his brother-in-law bringing with them bread from early morning bakery and baby clothes for his niece.

THE KILLING

Early on Monday September 5th Israel's occupation forces opened fire at a car in the Shuafat refugee in Palestine's East Jerusalem driven by Ali Tayser Nimer(27.

He was wounded and left without medical aid on the ground beside the car for half an hour. His brother-in-law Mustafa Talal Nimer(25), sitting on the front passenger's seat, was left to bleed on his seat.

No attempt to give medical aid for the young men was done by Israel's occupation soldiers, who also stopped Palestinian medics from reaching the two young men.

Mustafa died, but whether he died immediately or not is not known. Some witnesses claimed in the immediate aftermath of having heard cries for help from inside the car. His body is still held by the Israeli occupation and Ali is still in hospital.

THE LIES

At first Israeli occupation claimed that the young men had tried to 'ram' and 'stab' Israel's occupation soldiers and staged photographs showing a knife placed on Mustafa's seat atop his dried blood was circulated. "Terrorist killed" Israeli media declared in one voice.

THE TRUTH

After release of videos showing the incident, proving that the car had been driven with moderate speed and had been shot by Israel's occupation soldiers who were in no danger from the vehicle, Israeli occupation changed tune and announced to his parents on Tuesday that Mustafa's killing had been "a mistake".

The faked knife was brushed aside - it never happened in the 'reality' Israel, it's media and the 'Western' journalists sub-servient to the Israeli occupation inhabit.

The latter have been continuing their "most have been identified as attackers by Israel" excuse when mentioning the death tolls of Palestinians since October 1st at the occupation's hands.

This is their way of sanctioning the killings and justifying them to their audiences; Israel says so, so who are we, as journalists, to critically examine it's claims? Let's just repeat what Israel claims.

THE SCAPEGOAT

Trying to find a culprit who wouldn't come from among it's own occupation soldiers - who had shot 60 bullets at the car and
the young men inside it, continuing their fire after the car had stopped - Israeli occupation is now charging Ali Nimer with driving without a license, supposedly driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and that he would have caused Mustafa's death by driving "negligently".

Through this Israel is allowing its occupation soldiers to continue to exist in an atmosphere of impunity, where Palestinian lives can be easily taken without any adverse consequences for those who do so.
