LARGE-SCALE INVASION OF QALANDIA REFUGEE CAMP BY ISRAEL'S OCCUPATION FORCES

Last night Israel's occupation forces invaded Qalandia refugee camp with dozens of vehicles to destroy homes belonging to Assaf and Abu Habsa families as a collective punishment.

Youths belonging to the families were killed on December 23rd. Issa Assaf(21) and Anan Abu Habsa(21)accused of "stabbing attack" in East Jerusalem by the Israeli occupation. Two illegal Israeli settlers died in the same incident, one of them shot to death by Israel's paramilitary Border Guards.

The invasion led to clashes, in which armed members of resistance have been claimed to have participated and during which Israel's occupation forces wounded at least 4 people and likely 6 people.

Two wounded youths are claimed to have been physically assaulted after they had been detained by occupation soldiers. A total of three youths are said to have been kidnapped by Israel's occupation forces from Qalandia during the invasion and taken to an unknown location.

Israeli occupation stopped Palestinian ambulances accessing sites of clashes inside the refugee camp, attacking two ambulances with rubber bullets and both stun and tear gas grenades.

Six people were left homeless as a result of the demolitions, which are illegal in international law and are war crimes.
