'MENTALLY DISTURBED' JORDANIAN MAN SHOT AFTER CROSSING INTO ISRAEL

'MENTALLY DISTURBED' JORDANIAN MAN SHOT AFTER CROSSING INTO ISRAEL

A young Jordanian man, according to one source aged 25 and described as 'mentally' unstable, was shot in north-eastern Palestine 1948 on Friday by a 'guard' from the Afikim kibbutz used in training of Israel's occupation forces soldiers.

The incident happened few kilometers from the border of Jordan; the fact that the man had been able to cross the border unseen caused great consternation in Israeli media.

The unarmed man is said to have been throwing rocks at a car or cars along a road, with female driver said to suffer 'light' injuries after losing control of her vehicle. Israeli media claims that the man would have tried to steal the car or kidnap the woman, named Rotem Aharoni.

He was shot from a close distance - allegedly in a leg - and there's confusion about his fate:

According to one source, he was taken to hospital in 'a moderate condition', according to another in a moderate to serious condition but couple of news articles state that he would have died.

His identity has not been revealed so far.
