ISRAEL ARRESTS LEADING PALESTINIAN JOURNALIST
Israel's occupation forces arrested yesterday Palestinian journalist Omar Nazzal, of the General Secretariat of the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate, as he was trying to cross into Jordan and took him to be interrogated in the illegal Gush Etzion colony bloc.
Nazzal was on his way to a meeting of the European Federation of Journalists in Bosnia, which is taking place in April 25-26.
Omar Nazzal is the 44th journalist arrested by Israel's occupation forces since October 1st 2015. Arrested journalists have reported being tortured and being denied medical treatment.
The only arrest that has gotten any visibility in the 'Western' media was the brief arrest of a Washington Post bureau chief William Booth, but then he wasn't a Palestinian.
'Western' journalists in Israel and Palestine continue to show a staggering lack of support for their Palestinian colleagues and unwavering acceptance of censorship by Israel.
