TEENAGER TARGET OF VEHICULAR ATTACK BY ILLEGAL ISRAELI SETTLERS
Ala’a Ghaleb al-Rajabi, aged 16 or 17, was on a bicycle when he was hit by illegal Israeli settlers' car in occupied Hebron on Thursday April 21st at 14:00 o'clock and he suffered moderate to critical injuries. He is reported of being in a stable condition in al-Ahli hospital.
According to eye-witnesses, including photojournalist Raed Abu Irmeileh, the illegal settlers' car had at first driven past a group of Palestinian youths on a road connecting Shuhada Street to the illegal Kiryat Arba colony, when it turned around and sped towards al-Rajabi, hitting him head-on.
Israel's occupation soldiers at a nearby checkpoint witnessed the event, but only after being "informed" by Palestinians did they stop the illegal settlers' from leaving the area. Meanwhile al-Rajabi lay in the ground for 15 minutes before getting medical aid and was eventually evacuated in a Palestinian ambulance.
The illegal settlers' were both youths and Palestinian eye-witnesses report that one wearing an orange t-shirt was driving the car; after conversation between Israel's occupation forces, Israeli occupation police and illegal settlers they "agreed" that the car had been driven by the other illegal settler in a blue shirt - possibly because the other lacked a driving license.
The illegal settler in a blue shirt was released from Israeli occupation police station near the Ibrahimi mosque just after an hour.
