Governments, international organizations & individuals who claim that military occupiers and occupied people should be equally safe always end up choosing the side of the occupiers & preferring the lives of the occupiers over the lives of the occupied.
This is what the International Committee of the Red Cross has done in occupied Palestine. Especially during the last two years but even before. The lives of Israeli occupiers matter more to the ICRC than the lives of occupied Palestinians.
It has sided with Israeli occupation during a genocide in which over 1700 healthcare workers have been killed by Israel's occupation forces, all hospitals and healthcare centres in occupied Palestine's Gaza have been targeted in Israeli occupation attacks and most have been destroyed.
ICRC has sided with Israel, demanding unconditional and immediate release of Israeli occupation soldiers held as prisoners of war and Israeli civilian detainees while being very quiet about the death of 112 Palestinian captives held by the Israeli occupation during the current Israeli government.
According to the ICRC, Israel should just treat Palestinian captives a bit better and allow ICRC to visit them and their families to contact them.
ICRC claimed its neutrality demands it can do nothing more for Palestinian captives, while it vocally and ofyen demanded the release of Israeli occupation soldiers and civilian detainees.
The right to freedom, according to the ICRC, belonged to Israeli occupation soldiers, not to the hundreds of Palestinian children being held as captives by the Israeli occupation. These children, according to the International Committee of the Red Cross, Israel could keep imprisoned as long as it wishes, even decades.
Just like Israel has held the five Hares Boys captives for twelve years, nine months and two weeks.
