Australia´s sad government does it´s worst to please the Americans
(and their Israeli overlords).

Frankly, no foreign government seems to care much what Australia does.
Themselves the Australians believe that they are something like a third
rate superpower; current prime minister Howard has claimed that he
would like himself to be though as "America´s deputy in Oceania". And
of course he claimed that he´s ready to attack neighbouring states,
if he believes terrorists are lurking inside their borders, ready to launch
attacks against the Aussies. Which didn´t terribly impress anybody,
coming from a nation that hadn´t guts to stand against the Indonesian
dictature, whose leaders had the habit of calling Australia "South Iriyan",
after Dutch part of Papua-New Guinea, which Indonesia gobbled up in
1963 and renamed Iriyan Jaya, because the Australians were so
subservient to them, like sheeps really.

Now the current government, lead by this prime minister Howard, the poor
man´s Margaret Thatcher, has been ready to jump on to every lunacy the
US has been up to lately, but have the Americans thanked him? They didn´t
even know
Howard´s name! I would wager that probably large part of
America´s political elite don´t even know that Australia has troops in Iraq...

But no matter, Australia stands fast on the side of America&Israel, gaining
nothing, but to the Australian leadership it´s all about participating and not
about gaining something - like a new term in office, if the polls are to be believed.
