Lewis gun

The long career of the biased scholar turned political guru.

He lacks the one major principle in scholarship, that one has to
be objective and neutral. If you can´t be objective towards your
subject of study, then change the subject.

I have read only a few of his books and not too many of his articles,
but he seems to be at his best when he writes about pre-modern
times. Later he can´t keep his head cool. Instead of impartial study,
he starts to write apologetically, trying to back up his own views
using selective examples and dubious reasoning.
